About me

Well, there's not all that much to tell about myself. Currently, I'm living in Switzerland. One of my most time consuming interest is toying around with electronic gadgets such as computers and laptops. Some of my technical interests are:

open source and Unix-like systems
networking (protocols, standards, software)
security
public key infrastructures (centralised and decentralised)

Current projects

I'm one of the founders of Digitale Allmend. The organizations goal is to advance public access to digital goods and save their future development. Another goal is to stick up for a public understanding of a open (knowledgeable) society. Allmend is the swiss german word for commons.
I'm one of the organizers of the annual Cosin (Chaos Singularity). This is a swiss chaotic event. We usually intend to hold lectures, operate a network, talk about technology and politics and have a lot of fun.
I'm sysadmin of trash.net. The goal of the project is to provide internet services to non-commercial organizations and projects.

Past projects

I was one of the organizers of the annual swiss Big Brother Awards for several years. I also co-organized the frühlingsüberwachen event line-up.
I was one of the main activist of the SIUG (Swiss Internet User Group) for several years until I resigned in 2006.
